Our Coffee & Donut Ministry is a fun way to share community with others. Tasks include picking up Donuts from Top Pot, making coffee & tea, setting up and serving and clean up. Time commitment is about 30 minutes before and after mass.
There are Sign Up spots to pick up donuts from Top Pot, Set-up & Serve and a 'shaddow' spot to learn more.
Children's Church, also known as Children's Liturgy of the Word or CLOW, takes place during Sunday morning 9am Mass. Children are dismissed by Fr. Oliver after a blessing and process to the social hall. Parent or teen volunteers are needed to help lead the children. Children ages 3 and above are welcome to attend.
See the Sign Up or contact Dylan Pouley for training.
Ushers and greeters provide welcome and assistance to our parishioners and visitors, along with safety support.
Assignments are once or twice a month for a Saturday or Sunday Mass and Holy days.
The volunteer's (18yo & up) time at each Mass is 20 minutes prior to, and 10 minutes after (90 minutes total).
Please contact Ferd Baricevic to learn more!
Lectors is a wonderful ministry for those who are comfortable speaking in front of a group and want to gain a deeper connection to the Mass.
Lectors are asked to practice and prepare the readings – a workbook is provided – and have an active and visible role in the Mass.
A lector will normally cover 2-3 masses during a 4 month period. Complete training is available, and we are flexible! If you prefer some 5pm masses, others at 9am, we can work around that!
Please contact me with any questions! saraireton@comcast.net
The Funeral Ministry sets up a little luncheon for families to enjoy after a funeral takes place.
When a funeral is scheduled, Fr. Oliver lets the team know and we do a sign up for set-up, serving, and clean-up. Timing usually runs from 9:30am-12:30pm (flexible if you only have part of the time available).
Contact the parish office to be included on sign ups, or to learn more.
Baby Corner Drivers are a vital part of our parish. We collect items for children and we take the collection to the Wellspring Family Service building once each month. Drivers come to the parish to load their car and take the items to their location at 1900 Rainer Ave South.
We ask you contact them first to make sure they are open: familystore@wellspringfs.org or 206-902-4264 - www.wellspringfs.org
See our Sign Up for more details.
Drop off date is flexible - we are looking to take items once per month toward the end of each month.
Rebuilding Together is a way to directly give back to the greater community. Twice each year (during Advent & Lent), the group does a project at a home of someone in great need to help them remain in their home. These projects vary, are done in a single day, and are open to anyone 14 years and above at all skill levels. Contact Tim Lane for more information.
