At Assumption Parish, music is an integral part of our worship experience. Singing lightens our hearts and deepens our prayers. There are many ways to get involved in the music ministry: The adult choir meets on Thursday evenings in the church from 7-9pm.

Led by a music director, the choir is a lively and joyful group of people who love to sing together. Sacred chant, sacred choral works, shape singing, anthems, spirituals, folk songs, traditional hymnody, and gospel music are all genres found in their repertoire. They lead the music for the 8:30 am Mass every Sunday and joined with the Contemporary Group make up the choral leadership for all the major Holy Days and celebrations.

Children's Choir

Children's Choir is for those children in grades 1- 6. Practices are Tuesdays from 3-4pm.

Children will be singing at 8:30am Mass on Easter and on Mothers Day.

Contemporary Choir

The Contemporary Group is a smaller group completely committed to congregational singing.  Strongly influenced by the major folk movement in the 70’s they lead beautiful sung prayer with their guitars and excellent voices.
